Visiting, Answered Plainly

Do I need an appointment to visit the showroom?

No. Walk-in customers are welcome during opening hours, Monday to Friday 9am–5:30pm and Saturday 9am–12pm. For a full demonstration of the cinema, Control4 or Lutron systems, we'd recommend booking ahead on 01743 234945 so the right member of the team is free and everything is set up for you.

Is there parking at the showroom?

Yes. We have private on-site parking directly outside the showroom at 2 Henry Close, Battlefield Enterprise Park, Shrewsbury SY1 3TJ.

What can I see working in the showroom?

A dedicated demonstration cinema, a live Control4 smart home system, Lutron HomeWorks lighting with the Palladiom keypad range, Palladiom blinds working, and multi-room audio throughout. SMC have just upgraded my Control4 hardware which they first installed on 2013 as part of a comprehensive Kaleidescape, Sonos, multi room TV and Ethernet network. Via either the app on my phone, the discreet touch screen wall mounted iPads or neo remote controls I have complete control of lighting, tv’s, sound system, security cameras and privacy blinds, both remotely and at home. Once the team had programmed my preferences, the technology is very user friendly and even amend should your preferences change over time. I particularly like the ‘mood or task settings’ on the lighting system. With one press of a button you can have unlimited settings for numerous occasions including cooking, relaxing, watching tv, parties, arriving home etc. I found the after sales support to be invaluable, Philip specifically has always swiftly and professionally been able to answer any technological questions I have with and the fact that they have remote access means any issues can be speedily rectified or amended. I would without hesitation highly recommend SMC and the Control 4 system.

We went for a control 4 system, which controls our lighting and all audio and visual equipment within our house and even controls our alarm and cctv remotely. We also had an amazing cinema room, which is still my favourite ever purchase. After sales service has been fantastic, Phil has personally called at my home on a number of occasions when required to do various updates or to help us with any (very limited) issues we have had over the last 5 years. We first started dealing with SMC Custom Install in 2015 where they installed a full Control 4 system comprising of CCTV a Cinema room and full Smart Home system throughout the house. SMC have continued to maintain the system since that time and advised and carried out upgrades where necessary over the last 10 years.
